How to transfer funds to/from your Loop account and your external bank account

To perform fund transfers between your Loop accounts and your external bank accounts, you'll first need to connect your external account to Loop. If you haven't connected your account yet, check out the how-to guide here: How to connect your bank account to Loop.

Once your account is connected, transferring between your accounts is simple:

Note: This transfer process only works for connected accounts that are held with a Canadian Financial Institution. If you have an international bank account you would like to transfer funds to/from, you can add this account as a payee.

Transfer into your Loop account from your external bank account

Go to the Accounts page, and click on the Account you would like to transfer into.

Then, click on 'Add Funds'

Enter the amount you'd like to add, and the account you'd like to receive the funds from.

Transfers from external accounts can take up to 4 business days to appear in your Loop account, due to the sending bank's process for clearing the funds.

Withdraw from your Loop account to your external bank account

Go to the Accounts page, and click on the Account you would like to transfer into.

Then, click on 'Withdraw'

Enter the amount you'd like to add, and the account you'd like to send the funds to.
